Dungeon Defenders has released a statement regarding their new DLC which contains news for both console and PC.
Console
Dungeon Defenders has released a statement on their forums talking about why they are no longer considering bringing the DLC released for PC to the console. It mostly boils down to the facts that the DLC has to be given to the publishers so far ahead of time and the size of the DLC is restricted on console. While some people might think they have just been stringing people along, Trendy says they have only very recently come to this conclusion. Back when the posters in the secret room for Xbox 360 were put up they were still thinking that they would have that DLC for console. This does not include the Eternia Shards DLC though, it only includes all the holiday DLC, the new characters, Nightmare mode, the Assault Map Pack, and any other PC-only DLC.
To make up for the DLC Dungeon Defenders has been having the console events which started back up this week. The event for PS3 was Thursday and for the Xbox it was today from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. EST. The prize for winning was Bound for Earth if you lasted for five rounds during the event on Insane.
PC
The date for the Barbarian and the Assault Map Pack to come out has finally been given. January 30th is the date that both are set for release. Along with the new DLC there will also be three new steam achievements “Hardcore Mythical Defender”, “Dungeon Raider”, and “Mythical Dungeon Raider.”
In the new Dungeon Defenders patch they are adding item folders to help organize all your gear, recording for hardcore mode completion, and frontal viewing with no HUD display which should be useful for making screenshots.
