As many fans know a Director’s Cut of the game Deadly Premonition is coming (or has come) to multiple platforms. Today we want to go over the Deadly Premonition PC edition and what we know about it so far.
Deadly Premonition PC for New Players
The videos are somewhat misleading. While this game is a survival horror it’s actually a parody of the genre. It makes fun of a great many clichés that the genre has out. As such it’s absolutely hilarious for a variety of reasons.
At the same time it’s also an absolutely bizarre trip. Something very strange is always happening in this game and you spend quite a lot of your time seeing what will happen next.
The Deadly Premonition PC Updates
There are several updates planned for the PC version. Many of them are similar to the other versions which you have no doubt already heard about. Some of these will only happen if they get onto Steam:
- A new scenario written by Hidetaka Suehiro, the Director.
- New HD graphics with improved textures
- A new control scheme set up for PC users
- DLC that allows you to explore further in the game. Some of this will be PC exclusive.
- Achievements and Trading Cards for Steam
Overall it’s what you would expect. Still it is very exciting to see such an interesting game make it to the PC arena.
Deadly Premonition PC on Steam Greenlight
That’s right, this game is currently on Steam Greenlight. If you want a game that was an instant cult classic and definitely deserves a place on Steam then vote for it. In many ways this was a landmark game in the history of gaming itself. Be sure to take a look at it if you enjoy any sort of survival horror.
