Dead Rising 2 off the record was released and it gives you the chance to play as Frank West as in the second game, like everyone wanted. It’s an overall update of the second game with quite a bit of new content.
Dead Rising 2 off the record is bringing you Frank West once again. Frank has hit hard times after the first game, and is looking to make quite a bit of money on “Terror is Reality”. After all, who better to kill zombies than him? It’s an overall rethinking of the game with quite a bit of fresh content.
Of course once he gets there, Frank West finds out that there is a nefarious plot afoot. He has to unravel these with crazy new items such as flame turrets, cryopods and more than 10 new combo items. You can play all of these with the new modes. That’s right, there is a sandbox mode in this game. You and your friends can all have fun in a pressure free setting.
The number of side events has also been increased, as you might expect. The beloved Frank West photography will be back, giving you a plethora of items that you can take pictures of for points. On top of that, there will also be stickers that you can check out for additional “Prestige Points”. It should be hard to run out of things to do in this one.
This game is multiplatform, you can get it on PC, Xbox and PS3. It is also more affordable than the original game, at a price of $39.99. Overall it’s a great buy for those of us who missed the original, or who are addicted to zombie gaming in general. As you can imagine, regardless of its mature rating, it was popular amongst kids who were not quite the recommended age. The sheer number of them searching for a convincing fake ID maker upon its release so that they can go under the radar of shop assistants in order to acquire a copy probably doesn’t bear thinking about. Not that we would support taking such action but it’s true that you often go to great lengths for the sake of a video game, especially when you’re young!
