As someone who really loved the old Panzer Dragoon games I was excited to hear about Crimson Dragon. Coming out for Xbox One it appears to be very similar to the old series with more free-roaming mechanics.
The Crimson Dragon Gameplay
As you might expect the game seems to center around fighting huge monsters while flying on giant dragons. The bosses should be even larger in scale than ever before in this series. However it should stay true to the roots of previous games since the creator is working on it.
The Crimson Dragon Graphics
Fans are saying mixed things about the graphics. Full of color and dynamic lighting we think they look great. However they do not have enough bloom and lens flare for some. That’s a shame but we’re sure they will adjust to it.
Remembering Panzer Dragoon
Sadly most people have forgotten this classic game. For those of you who have it was one of the finest shooters ever made. It was a third person shooter rather than being a shoot em’ up. With an amazing soundtrack alongside truly epic visuals made it incredible. Unfortunately the average person only remembers Star Fox 64. Some don’t even remember that.
However with the current focus on dragons from DreamWorks to other games the stage is set for a return. We just hope that the success of Crimson Dragon doesn’t lead to people forgetting the original.
Crimson Dragon Information So Far
Unfortunately we don’t know that much about it right now. It will be on Xbox One and the release date is TBA. Other than that we’ve only seen the limited footage and screenshots that they are releasing over time. We don’t like to tell people unconfirmed things so we will let you know when we have more info.
