Capcom News Roundup 2

We have quite a bit of interesting info on some new Capcom games for you. So we are going to go down each one in-depth.

Steel Battalion Heavy Armor from Capcom

Steel Battalion heavy armor will be coming to Xbox 360 on June 19th for North America and June 22nd for Europe.

This game is a bold, risky move for Capcom as it will use the Kinect. It is risky because that the main fanbase for Steel Battalion are hardcore players who scoff at the Kinect. Capcom will have to disregard the former demographic and grab a whole new one. The gameplay is also very different, with relationship building being crucial to success. Will it pay off? Only time will tell.

Resident Evil: Operation Racoon City and Nemesis mode

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is getting an exclusive. This mode is quite different from the main game, as you compete to control the Nemesis. Whoever gets to the control unit and can hold it gets to smash everyone with Nemesis. It is quite an interesting twist on capture the flag or get the care package. But then, the package is more fun when it turns out to be a nearly unstoppable monster you can use to crush your opponents. You can get this mode on launch day for 320 MS points. The game itself will be released on March 20th in North America and March 23rd for Europe. The PC version will come later, as usual for Capcom games.

Dragon's Dogma Capcom game

Dragon’s Dogma

In many ways, this game is Capcom’s response to the popularity of Dark Souls. Somewhere between Monster Hunter and the Souls series, lies Dragon’s Dogma. This game is decidedly darker than most Capcom titles. However it still has the interesting combat which is a staple of many of their games. It is out right now for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. As usual, be sure to visit Capcom Unity.
