Capcom has been shying away from platformers these days. However they’re taking another crack at them with World Gone Sour and they are translating the X series to mobile games.
Full name: Capcom’s Sour Patch Kids World Gone Sour the Lost Kids
Quite a big name for a small title like this. Somewhere between little big planet and some really old-school Capcom games you have World Gone Sour. You travel through various areas on a trip to the stomach. While it’s no Jojo’s Bizarre Venture, it is good to see Capcom get back to their roots.
As you might expect it has the normal elements of jumps and puzzles. You also travel through real world environments such as movie theaters and concession stands.
They’re also trying to entice gamers with sounds from Method Man. We’re a little confused why he went from being a hardcore Wu-Tang rapper to promoting candy.
Creed Bratton of the office provides narration as you head through the game. This varies from amusing to annoying.
World Gone Sour is already out on PC and will later be available on PS3 and Xbox Live for $4.99 or 400 MS points respectively.
Megaman X’s new job at Capcom
It appears that all hope is not lost for Megaman X. However Capcom is going to be putting him on their App devices. You can check it out here: App Store.
You can expect pretty much the same game as the original classic. However the controls may take some getting used to.
While it’s less than a full and new Megaman game, it at least means he won’t fall off the map. Megaman has to regain his position with Capcom in a generation that really doesn’t care for him.
