Borderlands 2 has been announced in a press release by 2K and Gearbox.
In Borderlands 2 we’ll be seeing more characters, a large skill tree and new content in every sector. The new story will take place on the same planet, Pandora.
This news comes with some controversy, as Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford called some of the early reports from Eurogamer “shoddy journalism” on his twitter. It’s quite strange as he had accidentally dropped hints in an earlier interview. You can check out more Borderlands 2 info at their website.
There has also been some information released on a new character: Salvadore the Gunzerker. While we’re quite unsure what his special ability is at this time, it appears that it has something to do with dual wielding. Judging from the name he might be able to increase the rate of fire and/or the damage.

You can also check out this trailer which shows us that Claptrap is back to either make you laugh or drive you insane. This trailer isn’t so much as a revelation as just a joke on how obnoxious claptrap is.
There isn’t a lot of information forthcoming at this time. We will keep you posted on any future developments so stay with us. However, those of you who are hardcore fans might be interested in something that Gearbox is offering.
You can apply to be a focus tester for this upcoming game. While you will obviously have to do some focus group related activities, they will let you see the game early and get some prizes. And if you are a hardcore fan, that should be all you need. Alternatively, you can attempt to garner the attention of the developers through their social program.
Overall the game is shaping up to be pretty good, with the same cel-shaded mayhem you are used to.
