Bionic Dues Launches Soon

Bionic Dues is the new roguelike mecha game from the makers of a Valley without Wind 2. We really enjoyed that very strange game so we hope this one turns out good as well.

Playing Bionic Dues

In this game you play as one of six pilots with their own special abilities. The game puts you in the drivers seat of a fully customizable mech that you must save a city in. You can also build your own team from six classes such as:

  • Assault
  • Siege
  • Science
  • Sniper
  • Ninja
  • Brawler

Each one has abilities that fit with their name. Every area is deadly with tons of robots out to murder you. Of course many of them also have flaws such as bad aim and a tendency to kill each other. You have to exploit these to survive.

Bionic Dues Customization

When you’ve almost killed them all the game promises a fast-paced rush of attackers from all directions. Unlike some roguelikes you need to intercept some of them with shots much like you would in XCOM or Frozen Synapse. This adds an additional element you do not see much in roguelike games.

The Graphics and Art of Bionic Dues

The music was done by Pablo Vega of Skyward Collapse. His orchestral pieces are quite excellent. The title track also has some singing which is a bit strange for a game like this. We assume the in-game tracks will just be nice orchestral pieces. The art is the same 2D style that you saw from their other games. We like it pretty well actually.

Getting Bionic Dues

If this works for you then you can get the game October 8th on Steam or buy it on the ARCEN Games site. Everywhere you might get it from will also give you a Steam code as well so that is nice.
