Known for being absolutely flexible and amazing while at the same time being a bit of a mess the Arma series has big expectations. Arma 3 will be coming out September 12, 2013. It will be available in a variety of physical and digital methods as well.

Why was there an Upswing in Arma 3 Promotion?
The previous games didn’t have all this fanfare. But now the studio has money. We would have to pin this on the unexpected boost of the Day Z mod being so popular. I and many other gamers bought Arma 2 just to play that specific mod. While some people played it before it experienced a huge boom in sales due to that. This is a a lesson to all developers out there. If you try to control who mods your game and in what manner you’ll only be hurting sales. EA needs to take this lesson deeply to heart. Arma 3 will also allow you to mod it highly as well.
The Arma 3 Features
Many of the old things that made people love the Arma games are still in. This includes vehicles and weapons with unique physics. However they are trying to amp it up with things like:
- Expanded factions with more options in the base game
- More realistic ballistics on guns
- Expanded content creation tools
All of these will hopefully come with an engine that doesn’t have serious clipping issues. The game itself will feature a fight between NATO, CSAT and AAF factions vying over control of territory.
