Ark developers now have multiple modding tools. This is a huge leap forward for the game and in our opinion the most impressive addition so far.
Spawns can be altered in whatever shape you want.
Development Kits for Everyone
You can get these downloads from Steam and Github, here are some instructions. They have an excellent GUI for the kit that they will probably expand on later. Hardcore modders are the ones who will probably get into this first until Steam Workshop is added.
Unreal Power for Ark: Survival Evolved
Another thing that sets modding apart here is that this game runs on Unreal Engine. We’ve seen what developers can do with it in this game and in other masterpieces like Killing Floor as well. It’s a great choice for someone who wants to make the framework for their own game as well.
Even individual dinosaurs can be changed with the editor.
Unlimited Potential for Ark: Survival Evolved
Once user content and smaller companies pick up the tools there is no end to what we can see in this game. New creatures, weapons and even new settings are all possible.
Initial projects look very good.

Forums were also launched to help people with their projects. So if you’re looking to get in look no further than this link. You will find many developers with the same interests as you. It’s good to see this happening in any game.
Future Features for Ark: Survival Evolved
Steam Workshop and the Steam Market are coming in later editions. These huge bonuses will allow modders to make money and offer each mod in an easy-to-download format. Both of these are going to be incredible additions to the game in our opinion.
Full custom maps are in development right now.
For those who love the Oculus Rift they will also be adding support there. We aren’t as keen on that project but we know that some fans enjoy it. If this sounds good to you be sure to check out the game on Steam.
