Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs is the spiritual successor to Amnesia. We wanted to just take a moment to remind everyone that it is coming. So therefore we have compiled a list of news about the upcoming game.
What if I haven’t played the original Amnesia?
It is worth checking out the original Amnesia The Dark Descent on Steam. It combines dark and disturbing locales with some tense chases. It is one of the most popular indie games to do this in forever.
What to expect from Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs
From what we have seen so far? Much of the same. From Penumbra on through these games have a dark atmosphere dealing with murder and madness. Basically you play these games for the story and atmosphere. If you played them for the innovation, we would have stopped at the original Alone in the Dark. I mean the original, not the remake.
A contest for your screams on Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs
The developers want WAVs, Oggs or MP3s sent to piggies@thechineseroom.co.uk. Our press release doesn’t say there will be any prize. However it would be pretty amusing to hear your screams in the game.
Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs Basic Information
So far, the publisher has not been announced. It is of course being developed by Frictional Games. Right now it is scheduled for a first half of 2013 release. Even better news, it is slated to be released for PC and Mac. That means that everyone will be able to enjoy it except for Linux fans. But let us be serious here, what Linux fan doesn’t know how to run an emulator? Overall it is shaping up well. The game will likely be carried through on the fanbase for it alone.Be sure to check it out yourself.
