AKB0048 Next Stage episode 13 is about AKB0048 regaining the hearts of the people in Akibastar and defeating DES. After the successors come back crestfallen from their performance the understudies go out wanting to believe in the Akibastar people. They manage to capture their hearts and Nagisa becomes a the successor to Acchan which is evident to the audience. When DES starts to attack the girls, Chieri tries to get the soldiers on their side through song and becomes a Center Nova. The girls sing the spaceships away by interfering with their kirara drives and teleporting them away.
Finally AKB0048 Next Stage ditched the useless drama and went back to the wacky antics that made this show watchable. The DES have gone back to being incompetent and now they are even easy to seduce to the other side with music. Having the girls end the season by just singing at the enemy that is shooting a cannon at them is exactly what I wanted. Also having Yuuko come back from a place that no one has returned just to help keep entertainment alive. It does not make sense that she would want to since she wanted to be the best. It was hijinks though and fit the lighthearted attitude of this episode. Chieri going Center Nova when she had never become a successor was interesting as well. It goes to show that the girls can be connected with everyone without being a successor. A lot of these things do not make a bit of sense, but they are interesting and funny.
What is up with that face Chieri is making when she becomes a Center Nova? Also the wedding dresses on young girls at the end is weird.
The secrets of AKB0048 have been revealed now. Sensei sensei is just a piece of dualium, which makes sense since they have been making that stone so important this season. It is weird though that all the decisions for AKBoo48 are being made by a rock. Also they are not stupid decisions either, but well timed and the best for the situation. Also the place where all the Center Novas go is so they can eternally sing and brighten people’s hearts. So now there is no point in going to save them because they are doing what they want to do and helping humanity. Since they have revealed both of the mysteries it looks like they will not be making anymore of this show. If they were, they would have kept the secrets longer.
