In AKB0048 episode 7 we finally get to see the 76th generation of understudies.
The 76th generation looks so nice here, but don’t let it fool you. Also I wan to know why one girl has a lemon on her head.
Unfortunately AKB0048 episode 7 also reveals the 76th generation is full of bitches. I guess that is why they never showed them off before. Looking at it realistically though the girls of the 76th generation are more like what girls in a competition like this one would be like. They are doing whatever they need to do to get ahead of the others. They appear to not do that to the girls in their group, but the younger group is totally a target. The nice girls from the other groups are most likely not like the majority of girls that would be trying out for something like this. So it is nice to see that this show isn’t totally an idealistic look at what it would be like to join an idol group in regards to the girls you would be working with.
The mysterious temple sensei sensei comes up again and appears to be going into overtime since the 77th generation arrived. The temple has been coming up with more lyrics and suggesting that the girls work as stand-ins. Still have to wonder what else the temple is controlling, but at least one thing has been revealed.
The temple does not decide succession because the succession kirara decide who is closest to the soul of the original member. Then that person succeeds when the time comes which apparently is part of the problem with the cursed generation. Poor Kanata is supposed to succeed Minami, but they do not want to push her out. Have to wonder if Mimori is having the same problem and she is supposed to succeed someone who is still active. Maybe the only curse is that they are better than the people in position now. So the next episode will probably go into a lot of detail about how Minami handles finding out she is not the best for the job.
It is nice that they are revealing more of what is going on. Still was not one of the best episodes for me since there was no fighting.
