The 2014 Steam Summer Sale Teams
Everyone is divided into teams for this event. By making badges you can add to the point total for your team and get rewards. They track the points and the winning team gets free wish list games for random people. These are tracked and reset every day.
Gaming the 2014 Steam Summer Sale
Since there are no rules against it we suggest waiting until your team is winning then getting cards to craft the badges. This isn’t going to work for everyone but for those who can do it it’s a great way to insure you have a chance at free games.
What to Buy in the 2014 Steam Summer Sale
While there are too many good games to count we’ll suggest a few:
- In Verbis Virtus is great for streamers. The voice activation makes it an instant hit for YouTube.
- BattleBlock Theater is really great fun for those with the friends to play it.
- Enemy Mind is an excellent and unique take on the shooter genre. Definitely worth the price at full retail.
- Dead Rising 3 is on summer sale for those who still like Capcom. Like me.
Criticism of the 2014 Steam Summer Sale
You may notice that the cards no longer have a game on them. So valve does not have to pay anything for rights as they did with the other ones. What you make of that is up to you.
The 2014 Steam Summer Sale Reset
Those who enjoy the event should take note that the points for teams will be counted at 10 a.m. PDT. Rewards will be handed out and the vicious struggle for dominance will begin again.
You can switch teams to get on the same team as your friends though. We wonder if people will be switching in huge numbers to winning teams.
