Are you ready for a name that might just be way too long? Well Schrödinger’s Cat and the Raiders of the Lost Quark is here for you. It’s interesting both for the name and because it’s one of the latest recent efforts of Team 17 at publishing. So come be intrigued and maybe even confused with us.
Schrödinger’s Cat and the Raiders of the Lost Quark Gameplay
At base the game is a platformer with puzzle elements. You can dig, swim, climb and we would guess warp through various levels. We’re hoping they combine these in a way that we haven’t seen before.
The World of Schrödinger’s Cat and the Raiders of the Lost Quark
Probably the biggest selling point of the game, much like many platformers, is in fact the world itself. You’re trapped in a microcosm of quantum physics where anything can happen. The beings there are confusing combos of things you would see in the real world. Or sometimes they have nothing to do with the real world at all.
Every area we have seen so far is quite colorful with a ton of bizarre effects. The style also reminds us of that classic Earthworm Jim game which many of us loved. Hopefully it can live up to that high standard.
Schrödinger’s Cat and the Raiders of the Lost Quark and Team 17
For those in the industry who had been making fun of them for just putting out Worms this is what you wanted. Now you are going to see them publish a wide variety of games. This game comes from Italic Pig and we hope they do well in the industry.
Although we support Team 17 as a developer it’s true they really did need to branch out. Hopefully this we will see them reaching into many more genres and supporting other developers. Overall it seems like a good sign for the industry.
