Indie Gala 8 Released - Lo-res adventures -Nerd Age

Indie Gala 8 is live. The theme of this one seems to be RTS games. They have a wide variety of RTS titles, and even a racing game. If nothing else, Indie Gala can always be counted on to bring you games out of the mainstream. Even if they are a bit off-kilter and not the best to look at. So let us review this edition of the Indie Gala.

The Indie Gala itself

As usual, you pay a certain amount and get a few games. Pay above $7.15 and get even more. This is a little different from many of the other bundles out there. Right now if you pay any amount you get:

• Dangerous Waters
• Battle Mages: Sign of Darkness
• Sentinel 3: Homeworld
• Superstars V8 Racing

If you pay above $7.15 at the time of this writing you get:

• Ghost Master
• Dark Fall: Lost Souls
• Achtung Panzer: Operation Star
• Space Empires V
• Sacred Gold

You also get quite a few secret bonuses. You at least can’t beat the Indie Gala for sheer volume.

Unfortunately the Indie Gala staff seem to find the most abysmal music for their videos we have ever heard. Be sure to mute it.

The Indiegala games

• Dangerous Waters is a bizarre simulation game where you can man individual stations on subs and other vehicles.
• Battle Mages: Sign Of Darkness is a strategy game that seeks to give you a unique experience. There are a variety of different heroes and items.
• Sentinel 3: Homeworld is a tower defense with a huge variety of turrets.
• Superstars V8 Racing is a nice racer. It also has customization aspects.
• Ghost Master delivers just what it says, you get to scare people out of their wits. This has been done before, but still seems fun.
• Dark Fall: Lost Souls is a point-and-click adventure with a frightening style.
• Achtung Panzer: Operation Star is a nice RTS where you command WW2 era vehicles and troops.
• Space Empires V is a space RTS with a ton of options for you to enjoy.
•  Finally, Sacred gold is a collection of the Sacred series. It is a hack and slash with a lot of playtime.
