Soda Drinker Pro is on Steam Greenlight Now

That is right, the same Soda Drinker Pro we covered earlier is back. However this time it is on Steam Greenlight. We want to go over it for you again.

The Thirst for Soda Drinker Pro

So what is the appeal of this odd looking little game? Well it is pretty clear and simple:

  1. The game is funny
  2. It makes for good streaming
  3. It probably won’t cost much when it is out
  4. It lets you think about soda
  5. The game is relaxing

We see no reason why it should not get through Steam Greenlight. If it cost you 60 dollars, maybe you should be mad. We are fairly sure it won’t. Some of you may be wondering whey we covered this.

Soda Drinker Pro is Interesting

We do not want to cover point and click adventure 273 that has been done 273 times. We want to play a game that at least slightly breaks the mold.

That is why games like this, Dream and others are here. They are interesting. If you want to bring a game to us, at least make it interesting. We sometimes get four different people pitching us what is basically the same exact game. That is why we cover Soda Drinker Pro.

Soda Drinker Pro is Highly Polarizing

People either absolutely love or absolutely hate this game. Some people are claiming that it is the “Citizen Kane of Video Games” while others claim that it was a “waste of a page.” While we enjoy the game, we understand that many might not.

A Touch of Perspective

We just think it’s a bit hypocritical for people to promote a terrible indie platformer (that does nothing new) just due to an art style, but not this game due to poor graphics. Which platformer are we talking about? You figure it out, but if you have an idea in your head, it’s probably right.

They almost all lack innovation and rely on a nice art style. Only a few do anything interesting, yet people promote and love them. People should take that into account when judging games like this.

How to Support Soda Drinker Pro

You can check out Soda Drinker Pro on Steam Greenlight. They need your support to make new levels. Hopefully one day they will create an editor for this. If this gets through then we will do a full and final review for you.
