Omerta City of Gangsters is out now. There is also a demo available. We want to go over this gangster simulation for you.
The Gameplay of Omerta – City of Gangsters
Omerta combines the top-down real-time strategy of Tropico with turn-based combat. You manage your empire in a a simulation environment. Choose your men and pick your residences to control the city. Then when trouble breaks out you move to turn-based combat. You can use stealth or brute force to win the engagements in Omerta.
There is also a character creation and development system in Omerta – City of Gangsters. It lets you build your own men and train them up. This is something that is fairly required for games today. The game also has multiple maps to enjoy.
The graphics of Omerta – City of Gangsters
Omerta has simple but functional graphics. They are extremely similar to the ones in Tropico. So if you like that art style it might be great for you. However the characters have a decent gangster style. Overall there are tons of period outfits. From the Mafia to the Klan it has a distinct flavor. The characters themselves have their own distinct personalities too. Overall if you enjoy games with a Mafioso style then this is probably for you.
An evolution of older Kalypso games
In many ways this game tries to bring in the best parts of Tropico and Jagged Alliance. While it is not quite the same as either, it is a good step forward. It is nice to see them trying new things.
