The star of this update for me was the new bomb. I love blowing things up and this bomb gave me unlimited explosions for my enjoyment. With all my experiments I never noticed that the bomb would hurt the player or Zombis. In fact I kept throwing bombs down a hole after Zombis and they were just stuck on little ledges reaching out to get me.
The Zombis were definitely scaled way back. Last time I spent most of my time beating back zombies and this time I wondered if they were even still in the game. Although they showed up eventually.
The furnace and sawbench look really good. They don’t have any effect besides that for now, but if you hit them with your pick or axe they move. The sawbench has the handle and blade turn. The furnace shakes and the bellows goes up and down.
I was very surprised when I played this time to be digging and suddenly fell into a cave system. I expected a mouth to the cave really.
There have been a lot of things done with Lords of Uberdark the last few months. The only thing that bothers me is why don’t they have all the models they have put in at one time.
They have other things in and now the door is gone. Overall Lords of Uberdark Alpha 38 seems to be another step in the right direction for this game. We will keep you posted as more Lords of Uberdark information comes up.
