Riot games is announcing new details on the Dominion map for League of Legends.
League of Legends producers have recently released a new spotlight for their map. This video mostly focuses on the music and environment of the Dominion map.
While the map does in fact look good the music system is worrying. The way it is explained you will have to hear quite a lot of annoying sounds.
They have a dynamic sound system which will allow you to hear anvils and cogs in the background. Why exactly do I want to hear the machinery in the background in a big way?
This stands to be a very annoying feature of the new map if they overuse it. It isn’t going to make League of Legends more interactive to hear some machinery while being blown up by Annie.
They have also released what is actually a fairly decent site for Dominion mode. At this site you can check out quite a few videos along with a bunch of artwork. You can also learn a bit more about the story, which as usual is a little silly.
The Crystal Scar is actually a town called Khalamanda which the League of Legends had to intervene with militarily. It is now trapped in a temporal stasis field and used as an arena.
In other news Major League Gaming has inducted League of Legends into its game lineup. This step was only logical after HoN went free-to-play and then promptly shot itself in the foot with Tim Buckley.
This news is significant because it signals that League of Legends will now be dominating the competitive scene. At least until Dota 2 comes out and gives it a bit of competition.
To finish it up, we have a video of really annoying girl Nikasaur promoting some nice fan artwork. She quickly proves that she knows nothing about the game by commenting on a picture of Yi and Singed. Yi is covered in poison with Singed already getting away and she doesn’t know which one is going to win:
While Skarner wasn’t recently released he is still terrible. Get on that Riot.
