The Rundown of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Episode 16

In this episode they meet up with Lisa Lisa, the teacher of Caesar. Joseph doesn’t know who she is but instantly dislikes her. Partially because she almost bashes his head in when they first meet. Then she puts a rather strange-looking breathing mask on him. He has to keep his breath steady or he’ll die.

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Episode 16 Hell Climb Pillar

From there things get more inappropriate. They are thrown into a pit of oil. Joseph and Caesar have to climb up a…. huge pillar that pours oil from the top. Right. Well anyway, they have to use their Hamon to climb the monolithic shaft.

Caesar makes it up by using his Hamon to pierce through a wall of oil which Joseph accidentally triggered. Joseph himself manages to barely make it up with the help of Caesar after he launches himself off the pillar to the far wall. The episode ends with a very fast montage of their training.

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Episode 16 and being pressed for time

I felt like the montage was a little too short in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure episode 16. They went through a ton of training in seconds. While training arcs are not usually good, it could stand to be a bit longer. It seems like they are pressed for time with this show since they want to get all the way through series two.

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Episode 16 Bizarre Colors

Jojo’s and color

Another unfortunate thing about the show is the art direction. They are using the flashes of color all the time now. As you can see above with the mask, the colors get crazy all the time. I for one feel that it weakens the effect when it is seen too much. I hope that this does not carry on. Stay with us as well be on this series for as long as it goes.

Actually the training was compressed in two pages also in the original manga.

Yes I remember that. I’ve read battle tendency maybe 4 times now, no need to remind me. I also re-read it as I write these. But honestly I feel like they could have done more in the anime. It felt out of place in the manga too.
