Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Episode 10 introduces the much-loved Battle Tendency arc. We are very pleased and excited to tell you that it is looking good so far.
The Rundown of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Episode 10
In this episode we get to learn a lot about what has happened. We meet Joseph Joestar and see his relationship with Erina. She is his rough but fair grandmother. We also watch Joseph beat up some corrupt cops and save a black boy who acts as a sidekick for a bit.
We also get introduced to Joseph’s brutal personality. He punches everyone in the face that he possibly can. This is part of what endeared us to him early on, and what he was lacking later on.
The most important development is Straights (AKA Straits when he is paired with Dire) betraying and apparently murdering Speedwagon’s crew. They find a mysterious being set in stone as well. Straights sets into motion the events that lead to the main villains of series 2 being revealed. The episode ends on Joseph’s iconic tommy gun attack to Straights.
The Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Episode Overall
It looks like the art of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure has gone back up to their normal high standard. The voice acting is also quite good. Joseph has good inflection although he could stand to sound a bit angrier. Straights has a great voice actor as well so that is looking good.
The art of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Episode 10
The shading is also quite excellent on this particular episode. They seemed to have put a bit of extra effort in here. Even the “Coco-Cola” coming out of the bottle is quite well animated. My only concern is that they may blow their budget on series 2.
Other than that, you cannot take much fault with the story. Joseph is consistently over the top and crazy. Somehow even a German Nazi character is made likeable by Araki. How he did that, I will never know.
