Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita episode 3 – The Lost Art of Boy Boy Love

Jinrui wa suitai shimashita episode 3 enjoying manga

Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita episode 3 introduced a girl who went to school with the main character named Y. Unlike the main character Y is not really concerned about doing her work and ends up abandoning her government job to revive boys’ love manga.

According to what I read in the light novel schools have all been dissolved in Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita because there were not enough students left. The main character and Y were in the last class. So what is Y doing with her valuable education? She is supposed to be doing government work, but she is throwing it aside to work on boys’ love manga. I think that part of what this episode wants to get across is that people are not valuing knowledge or using their education the way they should. Y should be doing something valuable for society, but the one contribution she is supposed to make she decides is only worthy when people are not doing anything better.

Not only is Y not using her education, but she does not value history either. She is supposed to be making the human monument which will be around for people to remember humans after they are gone or for present humans to remember the accomplishments that humans have made for society. Y does not value history though nor does she even know it. How can someone like that be expected to make something to show others the history. Many people today are like Y in that they do not know or enjoy history. They do not know the accomplishments of the people before them or their downfalls. Y even has so little respect for history that she compares printing her manga to Gutenburg and the printing press. It is not even like she invented manga. She is just reviving an old form of entertainment.

It is amazing that they ever lost the technique of making generic stories.

It is pretty funny that the pinnacle of art in Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita is a manga. The main character was examining it  and while she was putting it down she kept going on about how they no longer had these abilities. They even had a special art class to show the girls how to draw properly to make the manga.

This episode is good example of how companies will go out on a limb to get customers. Y could not get the customers from the competition with just her regular magazine so she trained her workers and tried to improve her magazine. When that did not work she made Cinnamon that went further than the competition was willing to go, leaving nothing to the imagination. When Cinnamon was no longer enough she made her own comi-con so the customers would come to her. To be sure that that was enough she cheated and kept making magazines during the fair so she would have more than the competition.

It is really frustrating that all the time and effort that could have gone into feeding people or advancing society was spent making manga. I enjoy manga and anime, but this is a society where they are all running out of food and on the decline. There energy obviously could have gone somewhere better. I guess these kind of decisions are the reason why humanity has declined in this world. Their competition gets more done then people do because they are messing around doing the unnecessary. They are not even good examples to the fairies and look what happened in the end of the episode because of it.

Overall I did not like this episode as much as the others. It did not have as much quirkiness as the other episodes that made Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita special this season. Hopefully the end of this story will be better than the first part.
