Since I did not get to Uta no Prince-sama Maji Love 1000% earlier this impression is based on the first two episodes.
Uta no Prince-sama Maji Love 1000% is about a girl going to a school for students who want to be composers or idols. Eventually the composers and idols are supposed to team up to compete for the prize of a debut. The main girl of this series is apparently very attractive though, because there are six guys going after her. There is a guy for everyone; an emo kid, a cute girly guy with barrettes, a nice guy, a weirdo who likes cute things, a playboy with long hair, and the mean guy who appears to not want the main character.
This is the guy that is mean to the main character which usually means this is the main love interest.
This show did something that I haven’t seen before. The first episode they had the six guys doing a performance for the opening and a song with various pictures for the ending. In the next episode they switched them which I thought it was pretty interesting. It might have been done before, but I have not seen it done before. I wonder if they are going to keep switching them or if it will stay the way it was in the second episode. Maybe it will change to something different.
This school should really have stricter criteria for the students.
The characters for Uta no Prince-sama Maji Love 1000% are what drew me to it the most. I like the way they put a lot of the guys who are opposites together. I think it gives the show some of its charm watching them interact. The main character with her hopes and ambition is endearing.
The paragraph below the pictures contains spoilers. As a sidenote the pictures reflect some of the faces I made while writing the next paragraph.
I thought that surely these guys were all approaching her because of something to do with her talent and then I found out otherwise. She can’t read music or compose. Why was she let into this prestigious school if she can’t do either of those things? Also if she isn’t secretly super talented why are all these guys tripping over themselves to be near her? Her roommate is a lot hotter than her and the guys all ignore her which I will never understand. These things just make it hard to get into the story for me so far. I know most people do not think much of harem Anime, but I usually like it and I expect more than this.
