Kokoro Connect is about a club full of misfits that have recently started switching bodies.
Kokoro Connect starts by explaining how the group got together because they did not fit into any club already offered. After the whole club is assembled in the club room, Yoshifumi and Yui tell the group that they had switched bodies for a while the night before. The club is skeptical and eventually Yui starts to think they imagined it all. Later Tachi and Iori switch bodies, Tachi is ‘exploring’ his new body when someone finds him and offers to help. Iori runs in to get Tachi and between the two of them they get away. Iori and Tachi go before the group still switched and prove that they are switched before they return their normal bodies.
I came into Kokoro Connect expecting that the club would all switch bodies at the same time and stay there. The group doing it at different times and only part of them doing it makes it a bit more interesting. It adds more suspense because it keeps happening. Who will it be next time? What if they stay that way longer? Obviously they already figured out a way to decide if people are telling the truth about the situation. Luckily for them it has not happened at any really important time, although things almost got weird for Iori and Taichi. I do not think that the premise of body swapping is enough to keep this series good though. It will get old pretty soon.
Other than the body swapping there is not a lot going on in Kokoro Connect. The group mostly just sits around in their club room talking. I am not even entirely sure what the club does. It seems like they make some kind of newspaper based on their various interests. There was not enough introduction to the characters to say if they were good or bad. They all seem pretty generic even down to the guys liking big jugs.
