Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita is about a future society where humans are on the decline and fairies are on the rise.
Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita starts with the main character being sent to help turn chickens into meat. Apparently current humans do not know how to do so. The chickens get away while the main character is getting ready. There is no meat for any of the humans to eat because of the chickens running away and the main character has to explain it to the fairies as well. Soon after the fairies hear that they will not be able to get meat or sweets due to shortages. Then some strange goods show up around the town. They are all made by the mysterious FairyCo. When the girls are sent out to look for the missing chickens they find a chicken, but it is moving around while skinned. It also has the brand of FairyCo. This leads the main character and grandfather to go check out the factory that makes these items.
Seems like the decline of humans was not just in births like it appeared in Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita. How could the humans have chickens and know they can be used as meat, but not know where the meat comes from? The chickens also appear to have gotten smarter while the humans got dumber because all of them managed to go over a wall and run away upon seeing a blade. Although considering what came later it might have been that the chickens are not what they seem.
I can definitely see why the humans and fairies need a mediator because the fairies could be downright offensive otherwise. The fairies going on about starving to death like it was great and could become a fad would really make people mad. Also their concern with sweets when people do no have the food that they need could set humans over the edge.
The story for Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita is leaving me curious so far. I hope that they explain more about why the people are so dumb and how the fairies came about. Also the Fairyco factory is pretty interesting so far. I can’t wait to see what will happen next. Except for the last part of the show though I did not find it all that funny which I had expected it to be funny from the trailer. It seemed more like a mystery than a comedy to me. I hope it gets funnier.
