No way to put it any better than that quote. This anime is about how a grim reaper is searching for a special specimen to give power to her family. In order to have power in the human world she uses Ryosuke’s energy which is all generated from his libido. Ryosuke is really unusual about this through and can have his energy recharged through his libido almost instantly. Which would be great in bed, and make more sense than it does in this anime.
I do not like how there are inconsistencies in Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinari from the first episode. Ryosuke is supposed to be some kind of pervert with a heart of gold, and better than other perverts despite being so vocal about it. His neighbor feels comfortable around him because of it. Then Lisara comes and he suddenly has no problem with burying his face in her ‘red threads’ and groping her. What happened to him being so good and kind to women? Also Lisara goes on about how the date of death is permanent and there is nothing to do about it, but kind of promises him to do something about it. Make up your mind.
Lisara seems kind of dumb in this show. Sometimes she seems to understand where Ryosuke’s power comes from and at others she seems clueless. She says that it should take a long time for his energy to recharge when she has already seen that it can recharge quite quickly. Also even when Ryosuke has made it quite plain that he needs to be horny for more energy Lisara will punish him for it. Lisara needs the energy for her mission, so why would she do that? She could have easily been killed if he had not groped her. What if Ryosuke got to where he was afraid of the pain and no longer grew horny so easily? She would be dead in a minute because she loses energy faster an anyone in the series. Apparently she has never heard of not biting the hand that feeds you.
Overall Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai can be amusing if you come into it with an eye for the ridiculous, but it is not a very good show. It feels like they should just go ahead and make it a hentai.
