7 Day FPS Challenge from SOS

One of our favorite people, SOS Sosowski, is working with some others on a 7 Day FPS Challenge. In this article we will go down some of what it is, and what it means for you.

What is a 7 Day FPS Challenge?

Basically it is a small game jam that takes place over 7 days. Everyone is invited from June 9th through 15th to join in on the game jam. Everyone will be making an FPS game over the course of these days, and several people will be blogging about it.

Who is involved in the 7 Day FPS Challenge?

Well everyone is free to join, but Jan Willem Nijman, Sven Bergstrom and Sos Sosowski are the main people organizing it. They have set up a main site for this event. They will also be running a blog about the event. There are also many other well-wishers and other developers who will be making games this day. However those are too numerous to list, and we would likely offend some people by missing their names.

Previous games from these developers

We have featured Sos quite heavily in the past, but be sure to check out that site: SoS site. Sosowski has a variety of light-hearted and fun games, sometimes with a crude twist.

Jan Willem Nijman also has some offbeat games on his site. We were most impressed with Strangers.

Sven is a prolific producer of content, in games and otherwise. You may be a bit overwhelmed by a bit of the content on his site.

Your opportunity in the 7 Day FPS Challenge

If you have a game you want to work on, this is your chance. We may even cover you if your entry is good enough. If you believe you  have some quality, please bring it to our attention around the time of the contest. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
